Soprano Rebecca Greenstein has been recognized for…“feel(ing) the

This young soprano is making her mark on the opera world, performing
such roles as Lucy in Menotti's
The Telephone, Adele in Die Fledermaus,
and Zerlina in
Don Giovanni with Opera Manhattan Repertory Theatre, Fifi
LaFleur (Madame Goldentrill) in Mozart’s
The Impresario, the Sister in
Beauty and the Beast, La Suora Infermiera in Suor Angelica, and Jou Jou in
The Merry Widow, all with Dicapo Opera Theatre.  Beyond opera and
stage work you can see and hear Ms. Greenstein in the feature film
Coup
de Grace that premiered at the 2008 Cannes and Toronto Film Festivals.  
She provides the voice for the lead actress in the film, both opera and
jazz genres.  You can also catch her in the new indie short
Jane.

This season, Ms. Greenstein performs in
Emmeline with Dicapo Opera
Theatre (September 10-13, 2009) and at The Mezzo Television Opera
Competition & Festival in Szeged, Hungary (November 15 & 16, 2009).  
In April of 2009 Ms. Greenstein debuts as Musetta in Puccini's
La Bohème
with Opera Manhattan Repertory Theatre.
